Diana Lee (Wyhs) Lowe, age 72, of Brighton, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born August 21, 1943, in Alton, to the late George Francis and Effie Marie (Campbell) Wyhs.
Diana (Whys) married William W. Lowe in Alton on November 26, 1977 and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1989.
She was employed at Norman Brothers and Artco as a cook. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Alton, she enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping and playing bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children and their spouses: Richard and Denise Harris of Fargo, North Dakota, Lynn and Donald McElroy Jr. of Brighton, Lisa and Tony Baze of Demopolis, AL and twelve grandchildren; Richard, Jr., Holly Christopher, Kristyn and Nicole Harris, Cody and Jakob McElroy, Jon Jr, and (Cassie) Gruen, Nichole (Jeremy) Sanders and Terry, William, and Anthony Baze; nine great grandchildren, Aubrey, Asher, Brielle, Katelyn, Beau, Autumn, Dalton, Paige and Benjamin; six sisters; June (Gerald) Sims, Carol Meyers, Bobbie (Ed) Amburg, Lorraine Daniels, Jan (Ed) Lara, Ginger (Mike) Lankford, two brothers; Danny (Elaine) Wyhs, and Tom & (Bobbie) Wyhs; a sister-in-law, Cissi Wyhs and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son; Keith Harris, four brothers, Mike Wyhs, Richard Smith, , Charles Smith, Joe Wyhs, and four sisters; Josephine Wyhs, Marian Halstead Marie Foster and Florence Gillespie
Graveside services will be at 11 am Monday August 22, 2016 at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
