Denny Allen Cambron, 65, died at 4:56 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at his home. He was born November 2, 1953 in Alton the son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Lohr) Cambron. He retired after 30 years as a machinist with Norfolk Southern Railroad and was a member of the Jerseyville Moose Lodge. Surviving are one daughter, Cathy Sellers (Mike) of Piasa, IL and one son, Frank Cambron (April) of Jerseyville, six grandchildren, Nathaniel, Ryan, Dylan Sellers, Jerit, Mason, and Lilly Cambron, and siblings, Russell Cambron of Brighton, Norman Cambron (Mary), Patricia Reef (Albert) of Brighton, Pauline Jones (William) of Dow, Janie Cambron of Brighton, Gerry Cambron of Dow, Fern Woelfel (Paul) of Fieldon, Roseanne Woelfel (Jim) of Fieldon and Joyce Hall (Mike) of Brighton as well as many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Norma Cambron. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Reverend Bob Beloit will officiate. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the family.
