Dennis R. Wiegand, Sr., 69, passed away 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born November 23, 1946 in Highland, he was the son of Herbert A. and Marguerite Rose (Ziesset) Wiegand Brown.
He had worked as the apartment manager/maintenance for VanAusdoll Apartments in Jerseyville.
He married Janet VanAusdaoll on March 19, 1981 in East Prairie, MO. She died June 2, 2000.
Survivng are two sons, Dennis R. Jr., (Pamela) Wiegand of Godfrey, Daniel (Nancy) Wiegand of Wood River; daughter, Linda (Ricky) Foiles of South Roxana; two grandchildren, Brok and Danielle Wiegand; three brothers, Arthur Wiegand of Arkansas, David Wiegand of East Alton, Terry Wiegand of Florida; and a sister, Dianne Bridges of Sikeston, MO.
Preceding in death were his parents; wife; brother, Larry Wiegand; sister, Margie Wiegand; grandchildren, Denny Ray and Sarah Wiegand.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Joel Lohr will officiate.
Private interment will follow at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
