Dennis Kaufmann

Dennis W. Kaufmann, 85, of Belleville, IL, born November 9, 1940, in Waterloo, IL, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL.

Dennis worked as a cement mason journeyman with Local #90 for over 25 years before his retirement. He was a proud owner of a Piper Cub airplane and a 1956 Mercury and enjoyed working on campers and other vehicles. Dennis especially loved being a grandpa and frequenting Cutter’s restaurant with his wife.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lora, nee Dees, Kaufmann.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Darlene M. Kaufmann, nee Miller, whom he married on November 7, 1960; his daughter, Michelle Miller, nee Kaufmann; a grandson, Brett Miller; his brother, Charles Kaufmann; his sister, Vicki (James) Walsh; and several dear nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Pastor Ben Goddard officiating.

Burial with military honors will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
