Dennis Imming

Dennis Dwayne Imming, 41, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the emergency room at Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville.He was born in Jerseyville on Aug. 30, 1975, the youngest of five children born to Larry L. & Angela E. (Hoemmen) Imming.Dennis was raised along with his siblings, and a very loving and caring home.  He attended Jerseyville schools, and began working alongside his father at a very young age with Imming Painting.  For the past 25 years, he and his father have painted side by side as he perfected his skills, and one of his proudest accomplishments was that of restoring the interior of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.He had a soft heart, and caring disposition, and was always eager to help someone in need or just a "for no reason" gift of his his time or if you were lucky, something off his grill.  He also loved to fish, and play sports, especially basketball.Surviving are his parents, Larry & Angie Imming of Jerseyville; a daughter, Brianna Nicole Imming and his grandson, Carter Aaron Woodson of Jerseyville; two brothers & sisters in law, Randy & Bonnie Imming of Jerseyville, Ken & Tess Imming of Dunlap; a sister & brother in law, Michelle & Alan Dale of Meppen; six nieces and nephews, Blake Imming, Holly Imming, Kayla Imming, Mitchell Imming, Anthony Gettings and Alex Gettings; along with numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul & Helen Hoemmen and Floyd & Rita Imming.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where a Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father Patrick Gibbons officiating.Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Brussels.In recognition of his contribution to St. Francis Church, memorials would be appreciated to the Mural Fund.
