Deborah Ann Stewart, 71, died at 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at her residence.
She was born May 24, 1954 in Greenville, KY, the daughter of the late James William and Dorothy Margaret (Jarvis) Sullivan. She worked for many years at the Alton Box Board as payroll supervisor.
On March 15, 1975 in Alton, she married Max Marion Stewart and he survives. She was the love of his life, they enjoyed traveling, family and friends. Deborah also enjoyed working with Kreative Kids Learning Center for over 20 years.
Also surviving one sister, Jeanne Campbell of Downers Grove, IL., two brothers, Larry Sullivan (Jean) of Bethalto and Mike Sullivan (Ronda) of Jerseyville, three brothers-in-law, L.C. Stewart, Richard Stewart (Elsie), and Mike Stewart (Debbie) and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Sid Campbell and nephew, Jared Sullivan.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park.
