Deborah Inman

Deborah Ann Hambleton Inman, 73 of Jerseyville, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, at her home.

Debbie was born March 10, 1951, in Wood River, Illinois to David Jones Hambleton and LaVerne Edna (Anderson) Hambleton. Debbie met Robert Inman on a double date when she was 17 and they married May 5, 1969, in Alton, Illinois, and he survives.

Debbie was an accomplished and educated woman and was dedicated to her faith, family, and friends. She was recognized by the Illinois DCFS for fostering over 100 children, which led to the adoption of her oldest daughter Melissa Inman, and was blessed with a biological daughter, Trisha Inman.

In addition to her husband and two daughters, she is survived by five grandchildren, Kinsey (Christopher) Huber, Lena Talmadge, Andrew (Kylie) Wilkinson, Nicholas Freeman, Chloe Freeman, three great grandchildren, Reina, Aleah, and Brantley Wilkinson, and a greatly anticipated baby Huber due any day. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara (Don) Brooks and Brenda (Jack) Cermak and many other relatives and friends.

She was proceeded  in death by her mother and stepfather, LaVerne and Dale Dooley, and her father and stepmother, David and Doris Hambleton, and grandson, Edward Robert Hornberger.

It was Debbie's wish to be cremated. A graveside service on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. and celebration of life to follow at the Gordon Moore Park Muenstermann Building, 4550 College Ave., Alton, Illinois, 62002.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Robert Inman to help with funeral expenses.
