Deborah “Debbie” L. Sitton, 62, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 5:25 am, at her residence.
She was born January 6, 1956, in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Herbert A. Cope, Sr and Betty L. (Keel) Cope. She married Daniel “Danny” E. Sitton in Alton, IL, on February 14, 1974, he survives.
Debbie was a secretary at Robert Sanders Waste Systems in Alton for 16 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and watching movies with her children and grandchildren, who were her life.
She is survived by four children and their spouses, Valorie (Jason) Jones of Alton, Amy (Jason) Howards of Granite City, Kimberly (Bobby) Alnwick of Staunton, Scott (Rikki) Sitton of Bunker Hill; two brothers, Herbert A. Cope, Jr and Danny L. Cope both of Alton; and eighteen grandchildren, Chad, Lane, Jaimie, Jennafer, Sierra, Ashton, Marrissa, Mathew, Nicholas, Patrick, Andrew, Toby, Anthony, Joshua, Anthony, Shelby, Tara and Avery; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2018, from 4 pm until time of service at 7 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Jason Pierce will officiate. Cremation rites were accorded.
