David Scott Howell, 46, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1974 in Alton. A member of Faith Family Church in Wood River, David worked as a handyman and worked hard at other jobs during his life. However, his main job was being a father and grandpa.
He and his wife, Crissy (Sillivan) Howell were married June 15, 1996 in Alton. She survives, along with two daughters, Samara Garland and her husband Anthony of Colorado Springs, CO and Brittany Howell and her fiancée Jacob Kelly of Wood River; his son, Robert Howell and his fiancée Megan Hillman of Wood River; three grandchildren, Joshua Wood, Zander Garland, and Aiden Garland and a grandchild on the way; and three siblings, Sophie Churruca of Arizona, Heather Thompson of North Carolina, and Thomas Howell of Arizona.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at Faith Family Church, 78 East Jennings Ave., in Wood River.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family to assist with expenses.
