David Minner

David R. Minner, age 60, of Alton, Illinois passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, July 2, 2017at his home.He was born December 1, 1956 in Wood River, Illinois, the son of Billie R. and Lois M.(nee: Booten) Minner.He worked in building maintenance and later in the security industry.David proudly served his country in the United States Navy, and he enjoyed camping, civil war reenactments and was an avid reader of American History.In addition to his father, he is also survived by :Two sons: Andy Collman of Roxana, Illinois  and Kyle Minner of Alton, IllinoisTwo daughters: Amy Minner of Alton, Illinois, and Kayla Boyer of Staunton, IllinoisSix grandchildren: Lola, Audrey, Riley, Liam, Kayden, and TryntonA brother: SteveA sister: LindaMany nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.He was preceded in death by his mother and by a brother, Kevin.Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2017, 10:00 a.m. until time of services honoring his lifeAt 12:00noon at Elias-Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. George H. Humbert, Jr.Officiating.  Military Honors will be presented at the funeral home by the Ritual Team of V.F.W.
