David R. Eldridge, 80, of Alton passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Integrity of Godfrey. He was born February 3, 1942, in Benton, IL to Billy and Imogene (Hines) Eldridge. He married Patricia Minton on September 9, 1979, in Wood River, Illinois. He worked as a General Foreman for Olin-Winchester, retiring in 2000. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing softball and hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pat Eldridge of Alton; two sons, David L. (Sherry) Eldridge of Bunker Hill and Cary Eldridge of Cottage Hills; three daughters, Christine (Brad) Cummins of Bethalto, Cyndi (Howard) Jenkins of Bethalto and Julie (Darren) Hartley of Monroeville, OH; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a great great grandchild and three brothers, Allen (Donna) Eldridge of Mobile, AL, Bill (Vicki) Eldridge of Godfrey and Terry (Marilou) Eldridge of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David Thomas Eldridge.
