David Pfeiffer

David M. Pfeiffer, 81, of Millstadt, IL, born November 27, 1944, in Belleville, IL, returned to the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Pfeiffer retired after 36 years of teaching. He loved attending his grandkids activities and was an avid Notre Dame football fan. David enjoyed travelling and especially enjoyed visiting Branson, MO, during the holidays.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Nancy Pfeiffer, nee Stier, whom he married April 7, 1967, and who died October 15, 2015; his parents, Melvin and Cleon, nee Spinnenweber, Pfeiffer; a brother, Dennis Pfeiffer; two sisters, Deborah Hildebrandt and Linda Jean Pfeiffer; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Riester.

He is survived by a son, Bradley (Pam) Pfeiffer; a daughter, Amy (Steven) Gomric; four grandchildren, Oliver Pfeiffer, Claire Pfeiffer, Avery Gomric, and David “Bo” Gomric; three brothers-in-law, John (Shelley) Stier, David Riester, and John Hildebrandt; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, October 8, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.

Funeral: Memorial services will be held at 12 noon Thursday, October 8, 2026, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Kenneth York officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Shiloh, IL, at a later date.
