David Metzler

David Metzler, 70, of Swansea, IL, born December 10, 1955, in St. Louis, MO, died Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Aegis Health & Rehab, Wildwood, MO.

David was a United States Air Force veteran. He loved cars and motorcycles and had a passion for collecting different types of guns and knives.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Tokiko Metzler.

Surviving are his two daughters, Sonya (Jason) Williams and Dianna Metzler (fiancé Jeffrey Verrillo); four grandchildren, Olivia and Madelyn Williams and Adelina and Joey Verrillo; a sister, Joann Hynek; and special friends, Shirley (Rusty) Jones.

Funeral: A funeral procession will leave at 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2026, for a 10:30 a.m. graveside service with military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
