David L. Rushton, 57, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at his home.
Born June 16, 1961 in Wood River, he was a son of Bonnie Bristol and Margaret Thelma (Lewis) Rushton.
David retired from Labor Local #338 in Wood River. He loved racing.
Survivors include four sisters, Judy Walker, Margaret Spangler, and Linda (Matt) Gernigin, all of Wood River and Sharon (Barney) Seidler of Hartford; five brothers, Darrell Rushton of Roxana, Roy (Betty) Rushton of South Roxana, Billy (Carol) Rushton of Bethalto, Mike (Paula) Rushton of East Alton, and Walter (Virginia) Rushton of Rosewood Heights; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Rushton of Staunton; and many, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra (Ronald) McCartney; two brothers, Harold Rushton and Raymond Rushton; and a brother-in-law, Luke Walker.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, May 31 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 1 p.m.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
