David Berghoff

David L. Berghoff, 52, passed away at 6:52 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at his father’s home in Bethalto.He was born October 2, 1964, in Alton, IL, the son of Robert and Irene (Giannini) Berghoff. David lived in Las Vegas, Nevada, for many years and worked for RGIS Inventory. As a young child, he had a talent for magic tricks, and playing street hockey. He enjoyed watching many sports, especially UFC fighting. He loved animals, especially dogs, was a dedicated worker, and was willing to help anyone; he was a very unselfish person.Survivors include his father, Bob Berghoff of Bethalto; one sister and her husband, Mindi and David Lenhardt of Alton; two nieces, Kadi and Emma Lenhardt both of Alton; one nephew, Sawyer Lenhardt of Alton; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and special friend, Robin Dwyer of Tupelo, Mississippi.He was preceded in death by his mother.A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Bethalto United Methodist Cemetery.Memorials may be made to 5A’s in Alton.An online condolence and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com .
