David Hart

David Anthony Hart, 54, died at 9:45 a.m., Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on March 30, 1971 in Jacksonville, IL to the late Ronald and Henrietta (Heitzman) Hart. He attended Carlinville High School, then went to worked with his uncles at Lewis & Clark Sawmill for many years.

He grew up on the family farm in Greenfield. He had a love for nature. He loved to hunt with his father and big brother Doug. He not only had a love for turtles; he actually had many pet turtles when he was younger. His nickname was Turtle; due to the fact he was a slow mover. He loved to tell stories and was avid Chicago Bulls fan. Although we are sad, we know David is with his Lord and Savior. He will be deeply missed.

Surviving is his sister, Cynthia A. (Robert) Frank; a brother, Nick (Elizabeth) Hart; nieces and nephews, Brandi (Chandler) Eason, Brooke Frank, Austin (Tori) Frank and Haylee Hart. His dog, Baby.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Doug Hart.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday February 10, 2026 at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Hagaman, IL followed by a Celebration of life at 1:00 p. m, at the Chesterfield Community Center 115 West Lincoln Avenue, Chesterfield, IL.

Memorials may be to donor’s choice.
