David H. Lilley Sr., 80, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born in East Alton on January 20, 1935 the son of the late David Lilley and Isadora (Jones) Lilley.
On March 20, 1981, he married Pat Bensman in Alton.
He was a Pipe fitter for Ford for 15 years as well as working at Alton Glass for 30 years. He was a member of the Woodriver Moose, and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
He is survived by his wife Pat; three children David jr. and his wife Randa Lilley of Caseyville, Valoree Lilley of Virginia, and Christy Lilley of Alton; a sister Rose Luebbert of Hartford; a granddaughter Lucy Lilley; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters, Bea Rigsby, Shirley Cooper, Carol Garland, and Addie Pollard.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday June 29, 2015 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Memorial service to follow at 7 pm.
Private Burial will follow at a later date.
