Loving Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, Danny was 85 and passed away on February 19, 2021.
Danny was born on November 15. 1935, a graduate of Alton High School and married Ruth Middleton (nee Herring) on July 21, 1956.
Danny was a faithful and devoted member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton Illinois where he was a regular leader for a Senior Bible Study Group. Danny previously worked at Owen's Illinois and retired from the Alton Water Company in 1999. For decades he prepared Income Tax returns and provided Accounting services for businesses and churches from Illinois to Texas.
Danny was preceded in death by his wife Ruth and his parents.
Danny is survived by his brother Edward Middleton (Orange Park, FL), his 3 children: Kenneth Middleton (Michelle Middleton (nee Cass) of Alton Illinois, Stanley Middleton (Jean Middleton (nee Jackson) of Godfrey Illinois, and James Middleton (Wendy Middleton (nee King) of Streetman Texas; 6 Grandchildren: Christopher Middleton, Virginia Middleton, Anna Middleton, Kendra Mains, Brittany Middleton, and Hailey Middleton, and 2 Great-Grandchildren Charlotte and Benjamin Mains.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Gent Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Pastor Alex Melton will officiate. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.
