Daniel Thomas "Uncle Danny" Albarado, 79, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026.

On August 23, 1947, he was born in Sulphur, LA, the son of Frank and Anna Mae (David) Albarado, where he was raised.

After graduating from Sulphur High School in 1966, he immediately volunteered for the United States Army, and proudly served for 3 years. Daniel was stationed in South Korea on the DMZ. After his honorable discharge from the Army, he took a job as a pipefitter, 1st class and traveled the country on many jobs He then took employment at Olin Winchester Corp in 1988 and retired in 2007. He started his working career as a paper boy on a bicycle. He delivered the paper and the Grit magazine. At that time, his most loyal dog, Duffy, would be by his side.

"I am sure he is organizing a study group right now, and his mama is making a big pot of gumbo to bring along."

He married his former wife, Glenda, in 1969, and his beautiful daughter, Nicole, was the blessing of that union. He married his present wife, Kay, in 1995, and gained a stepson, Nicholas. Daniel would always correct people and tell them "This is my son, Nicholas".

Along with his wife, Kay, he is survived by a daughter, Nicole; a son, Nicholas; brother, Jim "Uncle Jimmy" (Bea); a sister, Chris (Steve); grandchildren, Sydney, Drew, and Sam; and many, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In recent years, he let his love for the Lord show through. He was a true study of the Lord's word and his dear friend John call him "Dan the Digger" because he would dig down deep to find all the nuggets of The Truth. He was most proud of his family and his church family. Daniel served as an Elder at First Christian Church as well as a Bible study leader for the men's group.
