Dana M. Mastrangelo, 58, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on the 26th day, December 2023 after a lengthy battle with brain cancer.
She was born on February 28, 1965, in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Michael R. and Sondra K. (Ratliff) Solomon.
After Dana graduated from Civic Memorial High School in 1983, she went on to study travel at Wilma Boyd in Pittsburgh. Dana began her 20-year career in the airline industry at Northwest Airlines working in both St. Louis and Boston. She was a shining professional with an infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and quick wit. Dana moved on to serve as an executive assistant for the pharmaceutical firms of Astra Zeneca and Biogen. Her most important role was being the loving mother to Olivia Louise. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by, her father, Michael R. Solomon of Boca Raton, FL; sisters, Michelle (Gregg) Oneal of Louisville, KY, Gabrielle (Ron) Schuster of Boca Raton, FL, Sarah (Michael) Hollingsead of Norman, OK, and Abigail (Adam) Ward of Edwardsville, IL; a brother, Michael Solomon, Jr.of Pompano Beach, FL; a daughter, Olivia Mastrangelo of Hooksett, New Hampshire and sixteen nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sondra Solomon; grandparents David Solomon, Louise Solomon, Loman and Mabel Ratliff.
Visitation will be held on the 11th day, January 2023, from 5p.m. - 7p.m. The service will commence on the 12th day, January 2023 at 10a.m., at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Ron Woods will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
