Dale Wayne Doolen, 57, died at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at his home in Bethalto.
Born September 6, 1961 in Alton, he was the son of Mary L. (Siddens) Doolen of Cottage Hills and the late Elston Eugene Doolen. Dale was a self-employed floor layer. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, flea markets and playing ball and hide-n-seek with his grandchildren. He loved his family dearly.
Along with his mother he is survived by a daughter, Jenna Doolen (Luke Pruiett) of Gillespie, IL, two grandchildren, Kelsie and Corbin Pruiett, a brother, Terry Doolen of Cottage Hills a sister, Genia Ruckman of Rosewood Heights as well as nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Along with his father he was preceded in death by grandparents, Elston and Cynthia Doolen and Thomas and Daisy Siddens.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the family or St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
