D. Angie McOwan, 45, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home. Born May 24, 1966 in Litchfield, IL, she was the daughter of Guy and Delores (Throne) Schuetz of Bunker Hill. Angie graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1985. She enjoyed sports and played softball and volleyball for years. She was captain of the cheerleading squad and was Homecoming Queen. She worked as the office manager for ACT Auto body in Alton. On August 27, 2010 she married Patrick M. McOwan. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Shayna Dixon of Alton, Dree Dixon of Alton, one son, Payden McOwan of Alton, two brothers, Stan (Julie) Schuetz of Durham, Connecticut, and Brian Schuetz (fiancé Kate Couglin) of Cottage Hills, one sister, Dee (Danny) Hanner of Bunker Hill, nieces and nephews, Jason, Dea, and Sara Hanner all of Bunker Hill, Tara Provaznarik of Bethalto, and Ashley Schuetz of Durham, Connecticut, two great nieces and one great nephew, Danica, Ryleigh, and Jaxon, her good friend, Christie Rickman of Florissant, MO and the father of Shayna and Dree, Terry Dixon of Alton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Schuetz. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at Cornerstone Church at Bethalto. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bunker Hill. Memorials can be given to benefit her children in the care of the family. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
