Cynthia Louise Jacobs, 76, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born Oct. 8, 1949 in Alton, she was the daughter of Gerald Roberson and Dolores (Eckhouse) Owens. They preceded her in death, as well as her stepdad, Paul Owens.
Cindy worked at the Holiday Inn- Alton, later the Best Western Premier since its opening in 1982. She was a waitress and later the manager of the restaurant and banquet department, working a total of 43 years. She enjoyed dancing, drinking out of her flask, playing pickle ball and racquetball, and walked her beloved dog Luna 2 miles every day. She loved her friends and family and especially loved all her cousins.
She is survived by her husband, Brad Jacobs, and they were together for 45 years. Also surviving are her children, Roger (Gloria) Malloy, Jr. of East Alton, Chad (Andi) Malloy of Branson, MO, Josh Malloy, Melissa (Billy) Wimberly, and Ryan (Lisa) Jacobs, all of Godfrey; her grandchildren, Katrin, Zachary, and Dominic Malloy, Taylor (Mark) Rowell, Hannah Malloy, Kayley (Brandon) Malloy, Logan and Chloe Malloy, B.J. Wimberly, Morgan (Neythan Sostre) Malloy, Grace Wimberly, Jake Sido, and Kayli and Bree Jacobs; 13 great grandchildren; and many cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lissa Jacobs-Sido.
Memorial visitation will be at Paynic Home for Funerals on Friday, July 3 from 3 p.m. until a eulogy service begins at 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be given to Unity Hospice.
