Cynthia Jo Holt, 71, died at 8:32 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026 at her residence.
She was born December 15, 1954 in Alton, the daughter of the late Donovan and Ruth (Cummins) Deeder and her stepdad, Billie Wooten. She worked as a procurement specialist with Ardent Mills in Alton for many years.
On August 27, 1977 in Godfrey, she married Larry Holt and he survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Pamela Smith (Steve Watt) of Godfrey and Lori Seay of AZ, two grandchildren, Kayla Holmes and Emma Smith, four great grandchildren, Chloe, Wesley, Carter and Adeline, one sister, Shelia Miller (Mark) of St. Louis, brother and sister in law, William and Muriel Holt of AZ, Christy Holt of Alton, Janet Thomason (Art) of AZ and sister in law, Jeanette Deeder of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, parents in law, John and Kitty Holt, one grandson, Mark Duane Holt, two brothers, Mark Duane Deeder and Don Deeder, sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Dean Oehler, and one brother-in-law, Jim Holt.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, where funeral services will be on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Irene Golversten will officiate.
