Cynthia A. “Cindy” (Hotz) Argent, 62, of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 4:09 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois.
She was born July 7, 1958 in Granite City, a daughter of the late Lawrence Alvin “Larry” and Lavina Maxine (Cleveland) Hoelter. She married Craig J. Argent on November 21, 2014 in Greenville, Illinois and he passed away on January 10, 2018.
She had worked at CPI Corp in St. Louis with 38 years of dedicated service in photo finishing. She cherished her CPI family and enjoyed their many reunions through the years. Cindy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City and enjoyed traveling, poker girl trips, gardening, picture taking and her life living in Greenville. She cherished her daughters, always cared for others, shared her smile with everyone, loved planning a get together and will be remembered for the love and special times shared with her family and many friends.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Shannon (Chris Antonneau) Hoelter of Las Vegas, Nevada and Amanda Hotz of Granite City; a brother and sister-in-law, Rick (Dena) Hoelter of Granite City; two sisters, Judy Nicol of Mountain Grove, Missouri and Janet Meyers of Mountain Grove, Missouri; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her great grandma, Evelyn “Nana” Metcalf; a nephew, Rodi Littlefield and two nieces, Monica Hoelter and Anna Meyers.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon with Father Steve Thompson as celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
