Curtis Hanna, 87, of Jerseyville, died at 5:45 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015 at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Jerseyville.
He was born on April 5, 1928 in Alton, IL, any only child born to the late Harry and Charlotte (Schallenberg) Hanna.
Curtis was employed as a Scale Clerk at Alton Box Board where he retired in 1985 after 37 years of service.
He married the former Neva Honey on March 28, 1948 in Alton and together they shared in the joys of raising their three children and 50 years of marriage before her death on August 25, 1998.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, David Hanna of Kane and Jack & Cindy Hanna of Delhi; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie & Joseph Voss of Witchita, KS; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; along with his companion of fifteen years, Clara Spooner of Godfrey and her family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Charlotte Hanna in addition to his wife, Neva Hanna.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville with his son-in-law, Rev. Joseph Voss officiating.
Burial will take place at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be given to the Activity Department at Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
