Curtis Clark

Curtis Lynn Clark, 64, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away at 3:13 p.m. on March 18, 2026, at his home.

He was born on April 25, 1961, in Madisonville, Kentucky, the son of the late Imogene and Everett (Justice) Hays.

Curtis dedicated 15 years of service as a machinist with Eaton Manufacturing in Highland and was approaching retirement. He was a hardworking man who took great pride in using his hands and had a natural talent for working on cars.

He found joy in the outdoors and cherished time spent hunting, fishing, and camping. Curtis appreciated the simple things in life, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was always ready with a good joke that brought smiles to those around him.

He is survived by his two sons, Kurt Clark and Kyle Clark, both of Granite City; two sisters, Belinda (Kevin) Boatwright of Mitchell and Cassie Hays of Jeffersonville, Indiana; four brothers, Richard Hays of Sikeston, Missouri, Don (Kim) Hays of Maryville, Kenny (Felicia) Hays of Jeffersonville, Indiana, and Derrick (Jennifer) Hays of Collinsville; his beloved girlfriend, Pam Coad of Edwardsville; close friends, George Maxey and Frank Hays, both of Granite City; along with many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be held at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City, on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Sharon Autenrieth officiating. Burial will follow at Buck Road Cemetery in Maryville.
