Craig William Hatten, 52, died at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his home. Born July 9, 1957 in Wood River, he was the son of Edward Willis and Virginia Lee (McReynold) Hatten. He worked with his father at Eddies Bicycle Shop in Alton and then took over as owner of the shop when his father passed away. He also worked for the Alton School District for 28 years and worked for Aramark for three and a half years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Godfrey. On May 16, 1981 in Alton, he married the former Diana Marie Howard. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Lisa Marie Anderson and her husband Shawn of Alton, a grandson, Dylan Edward Anderson, a brother, Sonny N. Hatten and his wife Suzanne of Alton, and two sisters; Patricia D. Bass of Alton, and Denise R. Wickham and her husband Richard of Alton. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Godfrey. Reverend Steve Rice will officiate. Burial will be private.
