Courtney Lynn Williams, 37, went to be with the Lord at 9:20 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 after a seven-month battle with colon cancer. Born January 14, 1981 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Barry Lynn and Theresa Jane (Hedge) Williams of Alton. Courtney was a certified medical assistant for Brentwood Pediatrics. She enjoyed volunteering for the Riverbend Community Food Bank. She was an avid reader and loved going to the beach and swimming and loved her cat Feisty. Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jesse Dickerson, her sister, Emily Williams (Gia Almeida) of Alton, and her maternal grandmother, Lucille Hedge. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Reverend Paul Hedge and Ward and Hilda Williams. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018.
