Corey “Pretty Boi” Aaron Moore

Corey “Pretty Boi” Aaron Moore, 19, was taken to his Heavenly home by our Lord, in His infinite mercy on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.

He was born on May 19, 1996 in Alton, IL, to parents Aaron Moore and Kelly Copley.

Corey was always the brightest star in the room, melting your heart with his infectious smile.  As a child he was very energetic and determined, showing his athletic talents both as a team player and a leader.  Corey attended Southwestern High School.  He was involved in baseball, basketball and track but his heart belonged to football where he was the captain of the football team.  Using his natural talent to excite a crowd, Corey was also a member of the Pep Club.  When he graduated high school, he received a scholarship from Southwestern Foundation for Educational Excellence and attended Illinois College for Sports Management.  There he was a valued member of the Literary Society Club, holding his chair through his passing.  Corey will be forever remembered as a strong and bold leader, projecting his boisterous and beautiful energy onto everyone and everything he encountered.  His ever amazing smile was contagious and will remain in our memories forever.

He is survived by his parents, Kelly Moore and Aaron Moore (Ricole Shawgo); his brother, Tanner and his sister, Kennedie; his grandparents, Kevin “Grandpa” Copley, Leemon and Judy Moore, Cynthia Moore and Phyllis Case.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Friday, December 4, 2015 at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Bethalto.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the church with Pastor Roy Rhodes officiating

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moore family for Tanner’s continued care.
