Conrad William Jones, 86, passed away at 10:02 am, Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Alton Nursing and Rehab.
He was born in Bardwell, KY on August 13, 1929 the son of the late Robert and Minnie (Yates) Jones.
On April 3, 1954, he married the love of his life, the late Margaret Lucille Wilson. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son Bruce and a great grandson Darren Fulkerson.
He is survived by two daughters Barbara (Orlando) Panfile of Alton and Connie (William) Bowser of East Alton; a son Kenneth (Mary) Fulkerson of Wood River; a sister Elizabeth Houston; a sister-in-law Betty Sherman; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He worked for Standard Oil Company as a long haul truck driver for more than twenty years. He touched many people’s lives including his many friends at Alton Steak & Shake.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
