Connie McHenry

Connie McHenry, 59, of Bethalto, passed away at 9:15 am on July 3, 2016 at her home.She was born on July 27, 1956 in Jerseyville, the daughter of Melvin and Pansy (Cole) Logsdon.Connie loved to listen to Elvis and watch western movies. Her greatest joy was her grandkids. Connie thought of many people as her family.She married Herman McHenry in Davenport, IA, and the two were married for over 20 years. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2012.Survivors include three children, Angelica and husband Daniel Dunning of Alton, John Adams and significant other Kitty Solorio of East Alton, Tyann Hamilton of East Alton; ten grandchildren Kurshawn Harris, Abresha Adams, Ryan Dunning, Jaquan Adams, Andrew Dunning, Sade Adams, Korey Monroe, Jacob Dunning, Tydayah Hamilton,  Layla Hamilton; three great grandchildren, Avery Morgan, Kurshawn Harris Jr., Kadence Harris; seven sisters, Linda Ozee of Cave in Rock, IL, Janet Ozee of Alton, Judy Paul of Fosterburg, Anita Mitchell of Cave in Rock, IL, Diane Niedert of Moro, Marsha Carmack South Roxana, Sara Logsdon of Meadowbrook; former daughter in law, Toussonda Adams of Bethalto; Andra Slater, whom she always considered as a son; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herman, a brother Ricky Logsdon and a sister Lela Rose Logsdon.Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 am, Saturday, July 9, 2016, with a funeral service beginning at 11 am at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.Online condolences can be given at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
