Connie Rolley

Grafton |

Connie Diane (Weaver) Rolley, 69, died at 7:46 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Jersey Community Hospital.

She was born in Danville on January 2, 1949, one of two daughters born to Beryl and Helen Dolores (O'Banion) Weaver.

Connie grew up in Maryland Heights, MO and graduated with the class of 1967 from Pattonville High School.

She married Robert Louis Rolley Jr. on February 22, 1969 at the Marvin Park United Methodist Church in Overland, MO and together they made their home in Florissant, MO for nearly 30 years. Connie devoted her life to providing a loving and supportive home to her husband and their son, Christopher  and was active in the Florissant Valley Jaycees, earning their prestigious Jan Curtis Award for her service with the organization.

After their son had grown, Connie and Bob made the decision to relocate to a recreational community with a small town environment, and settled on Grafton, where they have remained for the past 20 years.

Connie was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed testing her own racing skills with her grandson, often leaving him on the edge of his seat as they whipped around their property on their go cart. She was a cat lover and was proud of her collection of various "cat-inspired" figurines and statues. After moving to Grafton, she enjoyed taking in the great outdoors, with fishing and boating being some of her favorite hobbies. She was also an active member of the Grafton United Methodist Church, where she served on the Board of Directors, and particularly enjoyed their annual Halloween events.

Above all else, she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud and doting grandmother, and her passing, without a doubt, will leave a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her husband, Robert "Bob" Rolley of Grafton; a son and daughter in-law, Christopher ?Chris? and Renae Rolley of Florissant, MO; a grandson, Daniel "Dan" Rolley of Hazelwood, MO, and his longtime companion, Kelsay Puckett; her mother, Dolores Weaver; as well as a sister, Gloria Payton, both of Saint Peters, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, Beryl Weaver.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
