Conita Kiser

Conita “Connie” Kiser, 83, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony’s Health Center. Born September 7, 1933 in Hillman, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Homer and Goldie (McNew) DeWitt. Mrs. Kiser was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. On May 14, 1954 she married Robert “Bob” Kiser in Alton. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Kiser of Alton, and Kimberly (Craig) Burris of Alton, a son, William (Kim) Kiser of Bloomington, four grandchildren, Brady Kiser, Katherine Kiser (Edwin Lamb), Grace Burris and Sam Burris, two brothers, Gilbert DeWitt of McCrory, Arkansas and James Dale DeWitt of Penrose, Colorado. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Murrow and four brothers, Harvey, C L, Clarence and Arnold DeWitt. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Services and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the VFW Ritual Team.
