Clyle Douglas Myers Sr. was born December 7, 1942 and died on August 10, 2019, a journey that spanned 76 years. Devoted husband to Cindi nee; Palmer Myers and step-father to Rosie Weeks, brother to Susan Lybarger (Floyd Thornton), Donna Weeks (fiance’ Alvin Hysler) and Eric Myers. Previously married to Nancy (McKinnon) Myers mother of Dr. Deann Myers and Clyle (Brandi)Myers Jr. Grandfather to Holly L.C. Settles, China Pfalzgraf (Taylor Knight), Seth, Macie, and Jase Myers and great-grand daughter Willow Settles. Uncle to Travis, Cory, Beau and Becky Weeks, Tyson, Taylor and Vance Myers, special friends, Alyssa Tite and Destiny Gerard.
Clyle was preceded in death by his father and mother Hobson and Wanda (Patterson) Myers, two brothers-in-law Lenny Lybarger and Jeff Weeks, and grandson Aaron Axle Myers.
In celebration of Clyle’s life a visitation will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service being held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor’s Matthew Lybarger and Sue Busler officiating at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon. Memorial donations are suggested to Bethalto Civic Memorial High School Pazzazz Dance Team and will be accepted at the funeral home.
