Mrs. Clora Bell (Reed) Nabors was born June 15, 1939, to the late Mr. Zonie Reed and Mrs. River Lee (Manney) Reed in Bell City, Missouri.
Clora is the mother of one daughter, Marsha Reed, and six beautiful bonus children, Brenda (David) Owens, Sherin (Alvin) Bridgewater, Debra (Je+rie) Grady, Paula Bowen, Carla Howard-Williams and Stanley White, and many other adoptive, god and play children. She is the grandmother to one grandson, Tije Lee-Marshall Franklin and a host of loving bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Clora is the sister to four siblings, Clarence Reed, Harry Harrell, Hazel Whitehead, Vanessa (Pastor Rufus) Riley, and sister-in-law, Gloria Reed. Clora also leaves to cherish her memory nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
Clora is a retiree of 32 years of dedicated service to the May Company department store as a collection specialist. She is a member of the Friendship M.B. Church in Madison, Illinois where the Reverend Marcus A. Lee is her pastor. Clora has always enjoyed, shopping from the good-will to the mall. She loves hanging with family and friends, cooking her famous greens and cornbread, and participating in church activities. She has been a friend to many, several and all that knew her.
Clora departed this earthly life Tuesday, February 1, 2022, while surrounded by her family. If you were to ask what I can do, she would tell you to send a card to someone who’s sick, take a flower to someone who feels lonely, share some kind words with someone who feels hopeless and it pays to be on time because God is always on time.
