Clinton C. Champlin, 56, of Bethalto, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 9:25 am.
He was born on January 8, 1962, in Alton, IL, the son of Virgil and Anna (Bless) Champlin. Both preceded him in death. He married Irma E. Kiffmeyer on August 22, 1992 in Wood River. She survives.
Clint was the custodian at Bethalto Church of God, where he was also a member. He ran the sound there and helped out as much as possible, and was on the security team. He enjoyed helping work at the Hilltop Auction Center. Clint loved spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two children, Nathan Champlin of Bethalto and Jessica Champlin of Bethalto; his mother-in-law, Mary Kiffmeyer of Wood River; four nephews; one niece; as well of several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Buddy Champlin, Earl Champlin, and William Champlin.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Bethalto Church of God, where funeral services will be on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10 am. Pastor Steve Pruett and Pastor Desmond Wellington will officiate. Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the funeral home to help the family pay for funeral expenses.
