Cliff Skambraks, 77, went home to meet his Lord and Savior at 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2018 in St. Louis, MO. He was born August 13, 1940 in Centralia, IL the son of the late John and Ruth (Felton) Skambraks. He began working in 1960 for Clark Peeper Company, he asked them for a job because he wanted to get married. Cliff went on to buy the business in 1985 and retired in December of 2005. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton. On August 21, 1960 in Glenridge, IL he married Sandy (Jolliff) and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael Skambraks of Lake St. Louis, MO and Jeff Skambraks (Jolene) of New Melle, MO, four grandchildren, Brittanie, Ashley, Madison and Cooper Skambraks, and one brother, Dean Skambraks (Judy) of Centralia, IL. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Terry and Herman Skambraks. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, IL where visitation will continue on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Centralia, IL at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Andre’ Dobson will officiate.
