Claire Marie Baer returned to the open arms of Jesus on January 18, 2010.
She was born Clara Bound on May 15, 1912, the daughter of Walter and Mary Ida (Becker) Bound Sr. She married Anton Mathias Baer. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children; Antoinette Claire Cornell, Mary Penelope Nagle, Margaret Rose Deznan and David Anthony Baer, 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton. Father James Walther, OMV will officiate. Burial will be private.
