Cindy Weed

Cindy Lee Weed, 61, of Grafton, died unexpectedly at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 in the emergency room at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton.

She was born in Grafton on December 15, 1955, and was the third of seven children born to the late George Richard and Gladys (Simpson) Weed Sr.Cindy was a lifelong resident of Grafton, and was a huge Elvis Presley fan, and one of her highlights in life, was a trip with her sisters to Graceland.Surviving are her three sisters, Aleta Towell and Carolyn Warnhoff of Grafton, and Ada Cramer of Dow; two brothers, Ed Weed of Batchtown and Ben Weed of Grafton; along with numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by an older brother, George Weed Jr.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral services at 1 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.   Rev. William Hendricks will officiate.She will be laid to rest alongside her father at the Scenic Hill Cemetery in Grafton.Memorials may be given to her family in care of the funeral home.
