Christopher Oscar Marshall, 57, died at 1:53 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL. He was born January 25, 1959 in Highland, Illinois the son of Melvin and Grace (Gartshore) Marshall. He was a transformer tester for Basler Electric for over 30 years. He was a member of Enjoy Church in Alton, where he was very active in the men’s group and volunteered in many areas of the church. Surviving is his mother, Grace Marshall of Forney, TX, two brothers, Mark Marshall of Pocahontas, IL and Richard Marshall of Worden, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Marshall in 2002. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton with Reverend David Weimer to officiate.
