Christopher "Chris" J. Moore, 58, of Wood River, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at St. Louis University Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born on July 25, 1965, in Alton, IL, the son of Robert L. and Beverly J. Moore. Chris married Marilyn L. Mayberry in Godfrey at the Benjamin Godfrey Chapel on July 22, 2000.
Chris worked as a stockman for Famous Barr until his retirement in 2007. He was a 1st Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Alton. He enjoyed watching TV, playing golf, listening to music, and spending time with his children and pets.
Chris is survived by his parents, Robert and Beverly of Godfrey; his wife, Marilyn of Wood River; his two daughters, Kendall and Kelsey Moore; his siblings, Dana (Tony) Armenta of Volcano, CA, Brian (Karen) Moore of Godfrey, Kim (Frank) Rothe of Brighton, and Robert (fiancée Michelle Lewis) Moore of Godfrey; his mother-in-law, MaryAnn Mayberry; as well as several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m., at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Pastor Phil Sadaka will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Riverbend Humane Society No Kill Shelter in Jerseyville, IL.
