Christopher Rodney McCollum, 62, passed away, Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home.
Born November 16, 1961 in Granite City, he was the son of William Edward and Myrtle Hazel (Eastep) McCollum.
He had been a union laborer for Local #338 in Wood River.
He married Darlene Marie Bush. She died December 12, 2021.
Surviving are a son, Devon McCollum of East Alton; two daughters, Whitney McCollum of East Alton, Sarah Tharp of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren; two brothers, Dean McCollum in North Carolina, Peter McCollum in South Carolina; and two sisters, Shireen McCollum in West Virginia, and Robin Marshall in South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Derek and Brian McCollum.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of service at 11 am, Thursday, February 15 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.
