Cheryl Zimmerman

Cheryl Lynn Zimmerman, age 46, of Bethalto, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.She was born February 22, 1970, in Alton, the daughter of Gene and Connie (Hammons) Whitlock. She married Dallas Ray Zimmerman on March 5, 1988, in San Diego, CA, and he survives.Cheryl enjoyed reading, cooking, and drinking coffee. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her greatest joy was her family. She was the guidance and support for her friends and family.In addition to her husband, Dallas; she is survived by five children, Chelsea Jean Zimmerman of Edwardsville, Dallas Edward Zimmerman of Collinsville, Aerika Lynn Zimmerman of St. Louis, MO, Dakota Rae Zimmerman and Noa Elliot Zimmerman, both of Bethalto; her parents, Gene Whitlock and Connie Hammons; three sisters, Donna Militello of Alton, Carrie O’Connell of Orlando, FL, and Kayce Whitlock of Jerseyville; three grandchildren, Raegan Burton, Azuriah Hopkin, Malachi Hopkin; and one on the way, Ryann Rimkus; and many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her children, Teagan, Blaize, and MacKenzie Zimmerman.Visitation will be held Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel with Rabbi Lane Steinger officiating.Burial will take place in Godfrey Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to have dinner and share time with your family.Arrangements by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
