Charlotte Marie Meyers, age 93, passed away at 7:24 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Wood River Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Wood River under the care of BJC Hospice.
She was born on December 28, 1922 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late William A. & Stella (Haywood) Vohs.
Charlotte worked at Olin Corp as an inspector for 45 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of the 12th St. Presbyterian Church in Alton. She enjoyed BINGO and raising and spending time with her children and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, Albert and his wife Debbie Meyers of East Alton Estelle Vinyard of East Alton, Marilyn Brumley of East Alton, Thomas Meyers of Fosterburg; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother William “Bill” Vohs.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Rev. David Crowley officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, IL.
Memorial may be directed to 5 A’s.
