Charlotte Hansen, 86, passed away at 2:10 pm Thursday, November 1, 2012 at VIP Manor in Wood River with her family by her side.
She was born on October 17, 1926 in Hartford, IL, the daughter of John Gregory and Mabel (Brown) Robinson.
She married Robert “Wild Hagen” Hansen on November 15, 1945 at the Roxana Nazarene Church. He preceded her in death 40 years ago.
Charlotte was a nurse’s aide at Wood River Hospital and she did do some babysitting and ironing for people.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, John C. Hansen and Donna Narup of Alton, Charleen and Wayne Schaaf of Meadowbrook and Mary and Albert White of Cahokia, IL; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, George and JoAnn Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Katherine Weller, two infant brothers, John Gregory Robinson Jr. and Herbert Robinson and a grandson, John W. Hansen.
Private graveside services will be at 11 am Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Wanda Cemetery with Pastor Tim Keller officiating.
Memorials may be made to the East Alton Assembly of God Children’s Ministry.
