Charlotte Arlene Hansen, 82, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at her home in Alton. Born June 12, 1935 in Alton, she was the daughter of C. Benjamin and Carrie Lee (Corder) Bridgeman. Mrs. Hansen was a beautician for 60 years in Florissant, MO and retired in 2011. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. On October 8, 1974 she married William G. Hansen in Alton. He survives. Also surviving are four children, Susan A. (Gary) Fransen of Alton, Kathleen L. McPike of Godfrey, April (Harold) Fry of Godfrey and Diana L. Hansen of Wood River. Eight grandchildren; Cara Yinger, Patrick McPike, Sarah McPike, Jacob Fry, Ryan Fry, Alexis Bohnenstiehl, Natalie Martin and Holly Hansen, two great grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Yinger, one sister, Judith D. (Darrell) Goacher of East Alton, two brothers, Michael (Sue) Bridgeman of Alton and Willie E. (Ardice) Bridgeman of Oregon, an especially close cousin, Paul (Sharon) Guthrie, a close niece, Cyntha (Tom) Breitweiser and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William R. Hawkins Jr., and a sister, Myrtle Brockman. There will be no services at this time.
