Charles W. Nowack, 67, of Bethalto, IL, died at 6:09 p.m. Sat. July 21, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 3, 1945 in Quincy, IL to the late Karl & Lillian (Homeyer) Nowack.
On June 5, 1992, he and Grace P. Malone were married at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto. She survives in Bethalto.
A member of Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto, he worked as an electrician in St. Louis. He also taught at Vatterot College.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kendra Nowack of Missouri; three stepchildren, Teri Malson of East Alton, and Jim and Rick Holtwisch, both of Texas; 11 grandchildren one great-great grandchild; and a brother.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
