Charles Russell Baird, Jr., passed away at 11:37 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2017 at BJC Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Born January 25, 1940 in Alton, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Barbara Anne (Bauser) Beard, Sr.
Charles married the former Barbara Anne Bauser of Godfrey.
For 15 years he worked as a repairman at the air compressor company of Curtis Toledo in St Louis, retiring in 2002.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Eric Scott Baird of Alton.
As per Charles wishes, he was a medical donor to Logan University Program in Chesterfield, MO.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Scott’s home, 2890 Poppy Lane in Alton.
