Charles R. Eaton, Sr., 81, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his daughter’s home.
Born June 8, 1936 in Evansville, Ind., he was a son of William Eaton Sr. and Jennie Marie (Leyman) Eaton.
On Sept. 8, 1952, he married Ruth Ann Bryant. She preceded him in death Apr. 30, 2007.
He worked as a delivery driver for Fox Photo, later Qualex, and retired as warehouse manager.
Charles loved working with wood, fishing and camping, and playing poker. He enjoyed living in Long Beach, MS. before moving in with his daughter in Georgia. He loved spending time with his children.
Survivors include his daughters, Margie (Reese) Kornreich of Acworth, GA, Tammy (Eugene) McCane of Alton, Sharon Genthon of Lemay, MO, and Rosalyn (Floyd) Hart of St. Louis, MO; his sons, Charles R. Eaton, Jr. (Kathy) of Metairie, LA and Randall Eaton of Wiggins, MS; grandchildren Michael, Brian, Jennie, Kathy, Karl, Jeffrey, Jessica G., Randy, Tabitha, Krista, Travis, Alicia, Melinda, Natasha, Brandon, Melissa, Jessica M., and Christopher; and numerous great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. He is also survived by two sisters, Jeanette Howard and Barbara Johnson.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Debra Mullins; three grandchildren, Tina Hart, Kayla McCane and Michael Eaton; and siblings William Eaton, Jr., Robert and James Eaton, and Pearl Eaton.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
